This site overlays the MBTA subway lines (plus the Silver BRT line) on a Google Map. It was created by Matt King around the time of the original Google Maps API release (in June 2005). Matt obtained the route locations via screen-scraping, but still had to hand-encode about 40% of them. Apparently the Google ads that he runs on the site exceed the cost of hosting.
