Caltroid is a Caltrain schedule application for the Google Android platform developed by Heikki Toivonen. It is a port of the CaltrainPy schedule application for the Android platform using Java and the Android SDK. Heikki posted the first alpha version to his blog on February 6, 2008. Once the Android market supported for-pay applications, Heikki released version 1.0 for $1.99 on February 21, 2009, which also included several feature improvements.

The schedule is hard-coded in the source as a json string. As of February 27, 2009, Heikki still obtained the schedules by scraping Caltrain's HTML.
